Funding cuts proposed by the GOP would eliminate ALL current year funding for Title X family planning programs, devastating the nation’s health care system and (conveniently for ideologues) crippling Planned Parenthood clinics everywhere.
As members of the anti-choice Republican and Tea Party House majority debated allowing women to die to salve the consciences of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and using the tax code to virtually eliminate insurance coverage for abortion in the United States, they also took another brazen step by moving to dismantle Title X, the nation’s family planning program.

Indeed, three Arizona Republicans have now resigned office in light of threats to them from within their own party and the Tea Party and out of fear of their own and their families’ safety.
