The energy behind a fundamentalist g-force in Kansas politics is being supplied by the Koch brothers, the Chamber of Commerce and, of course, the ever present influence and drive of the anti-choice groups within the state.
Wichita’s “pro-life memorial” will also include 60 crosses “symbolizing 60 million abortions” and will be a part of the same memorial as the Jewish Wailing Wall. Radical anti-choice terrorists are increasingly co-opting Jewish symbolism to further their agenda despite the vociferous objections of Jewish leaders.
In the motion, Planned Parenthood is attempting to force the prosecution to take into consideration standard care and best practice as viewed through the modern, professional lens of abortion care. This motion stands as a direct challenge to the anti-choice practice of habitually and flagrantly calling medical ideologues “experts” and pointing to two-bit, outdated, non-peer reviewed studies as “science”.
Governor Brownback is protecting a person’s right to give a cut and a clean shave without the interference of needless government intrusion…but will continue to regulate women’s vaginas.

Today, the accreditation of KU Med School continues to hang in the balance at the hands of people who are supposedly advocating for the health of women and babies, yet somehow fail to see the disconnect in their mission that occurs as the result of a lack of trained ob-gyns within their state.
The possible loss of KU Med School’s accreditation is not an “unintended consequence”…it is very much intended and in the same spirit that the Foxx Amendment was passed in the US House last year.
