Soumya Vemuganti is a doctoral candidate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research interests include male contraceptive development, primarily identification and targeting of sperm-specific proteins. She is also involved in generating genetic screens to identify causes of male factor infertility. As part of the UNC Laboratories in Reproductive Biology and the Triangle Consortium for Reproductive Biology, Soumya is an avid member of the reproductive biology community in North Carolina.
