Reproductive Health Matters (RHM) is an independent charity, producing in-depth publications on reproductive and sexual health and rights for an international, multi-disciplinary audience. The RHM journal is produced twice a year. It is distributed free to developing country institutions and organisations, and is available elsewhere by subscription. The RHM journal is in English and there are editions in seven other languages. RHM also organises international workshops to explore new, controversial and neglected issues.
RHM exists to
- promote laws, policies, research and services that meet the sexual and reproductive health needs of women and men
- support women's right to decide whether, when and how to have children
- motivate improvements in policy, services and practice
- inspire new thinking and action in the field.
“Sting” operations carried out by anti-choice groups who want to eliminate women’s access to abortion and birth control have become an issue in the United Kingdom where misrepresentation of the issue of sex selection is being used in a new series of attacks on providers.
