Laurie Rubiner

Laurie Rubiner is the vice president for public policy and advocacy for Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Rubiner has a wealth of experience in health care policy and government, and more than 25 years of bipartisan experience working on Capitol Hill. Rubiner comes to PPFA after serving as legislative director for Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY), where she led the senator’s policy staff. In this role, she was a key member of the team that developed Sen. Clinton’s health care reform proposal for her 2008 presidential campaign. Prior to working with Sen. Clinton, Rubiner directed health care policy and health insurance issues with both the New America Foundation and the National Partnership for Women and Families. For nearly a decade, she served as the legislative assistant and senior policy advisor to the late Senator John Chafee (R-RI). Rubiner is a graduate of Barnard College and has a law degree from Georgetown University.
