Keely Monroe, JD, is a Law Students for Reproductive Justice fellow at the National Women’s Health Network, a national organization focused on improving the health of all women by developing and promoting a critical analysis of health issues. Her work focuses on access to reproductive health services, implementation of the Affordable Care Act, and health equity. She also currently serves on the 2012 NAPAWF DC-Board.
Looking back, I now realize that finding contraception at Fordham was kind of like trying to find a suitable mate through a wanted ad. Even though you know it’s out there, you can’t believe what you have to go through to get it!
My cervix is excited for 2012 and yours should be too! The Affordable Care Act (ACA), despite its tender age of not-even-two, has and will continue to uphold its promise to provide more women with the quality affordable care we need to stay healthy and cervical health is no exception.
