Planned Parenthood Files Motion Questioning Medical Relevancy of Anti-Choice Witnesses

In the motion, Planned Parenthood is attempting to force the prosecution to take into consideration standard care and best practice as viewed through the modern, professional lens of abortion care.  This motion stands as a direct challenge to the anti-choice practice of habitually and flagrantly calling medical ideologues “experts” and pointing to two-bit, outdated, non-peer reviewed studies as “science”.

Citizens of Miami County, Kansas Launch Grassroots Effort to Restore Loss of Title X Funds

Concerned citizens of Miami County banded together to find a solution for the all male county commissions decision to strip low income women of that community of their access to low cost contraception. They independently raised $9,000 and presented one oversized check to the Miami County Commission.

“Pro-life” Nebraska Governor to Veto Legislation Guaranteeing Prenatal Care to Immigrant Women

The same Governor who signed the “fetal pain” bill will be using the same pen to veto the legislation reversing the policy whose effects will hurt wanted, pain capable infants.  The mothers of these wanted infants will experience their baby’s deaths prior to their first birthdays, as American infants residing on American soil.

ACLU Wins a Round for Reproductive Justice and Advances Gender Discrimination Argument

The ACLU won a round this week in its court challenge to a Kansas law over the Kansas requirement that women be required to purchase supplemental insurance riders in order to obtain abortion coverage on their personal insurance policies.

Cuts to Title X? The Women of Miami County, Kansas Already Know What That Means

Title X defund to Planned Parenthood was to divert funding to local health departments.  Proponents stated that the contraceptive needs of low-income women could be satisfactorily met through these providers.  For the women of Miami County, Kansas, that theory is already proving false. The women of Miami County have been denied access to their contraception.
