I am concerned that despite the nation avoiding a Romney Presidency, his fiscal pursuits are alive and well and are being implemented in red states across the nation. The poorest citizens of those states will bear the burden of these policies. No one should go hungry, while others dine at the table of privilege.

Kansans for Life uses false assumptions and “data” to make false claims about the role of its “right-to-know” website in a decline in the number of abortions in the state, shifts that are most attributable to the assassination of Dr. George Tiller, restrictions on abortion care, and national trends.

Trust Women’s purchase of the building that housed Dr. George Tiller’s former health care facility is welcome news, but it must be viewed within the context of the on-the-ground reality that is Kansas abortion policy, politics, and history.

The energy behind a fundamentalist g-force in Kansas politics is being supplied by the Koch brothers, the Chamber of Commerce and, of course, the ever present influence and drive of the anti-choice groups within the state.

Kansas Democrat Jan Pauls and her “religious freedom” campaign have earned her a Democratic primary opponent in the 2012 election cycle and that primary opponent is gay.

An anti-choice Democrat running for the Kansas House of Representatives isn’t really “news” in Kansas, but a Democratic candidate who speaks at local Tea Party rallies, is openly hostile to President Obama, and acts as a community leader in propagating the extreme anti-choice myth of black genocide?? Kansas, meet your Democratic Party candidate for Wichita’s 89th House District…Peggy Elliott.

The planned memorial is the latest fleeting desperate attempt at notoriety for a couple of washed up anti-choice terrorists in a town with no one left to terrorize. And yet, it could serve as a terrorist training ground for spreading extremism.

Wichita’s “pro-life memorial” will also include 60 crosses “symbolizing 60 million abortions” and will be a part of the same memorial as the Jewish Wailing Wall. Radical anti-choice terrorists are increasingly co-opting Jewish symbolism to further their agenda despite the vociferous objections of Jewish leaders.

In the midst of an economic crisis worsened by its “pro-life” Governor’s own policies, Kansas may be getting a great-big Liberace-esque multi-million dollar “pro-life memorial.” A group led by Wichita anti-choice terrorist leaders, Mark Rotola and Mark Holick, has embarked upon what they are calling an “ambitious project,” but would more aptly be dubbed a monument of their perceived victory by assassination.

The Nebraska Legislature has been embroiled in a conservative controversy. The issue at hand has been pre-natal care for immigrant women. The angels and devils sitting on the shoulders and whispering in the ears of the GOP caucus in that state have been tugging their politicians back and forth over the issue, while Nebraskans have waited to see whether hatred for “illegals” would prove more powerful than “saving babies.”
