From 2003 to 2008, Ms.
Chettiar was a Litigation Associate at the New York office of Debevoise &
Plimpton LLP, where she practiced securities, insurance, and general commercial
litigation.  From 2005 to 2006, she clerked for the Hon. Lawrence M. McKenna,
U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Ms.
Chettiar received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Chicago in
2003. While in law school, Ms. Chettiar served as Comments Editor for The
University of Chicago Law Review
. She received her B.A. cum laude in
Government and Psychology from Georgetown University in 1998.

Ms.
Chettiar is the author of Contraceptive Coverage Laws: Eliminating Gender
Discrimination or Infringing on Religious Liberties?
, 69 U. Chi. L. Rev.
1867 (2002).

Prior
to law school, Ms. Chettiar worked for the United States Department of Justice
Antitrust Division’s Appellate Section in Washington, DC as a Paralegal
Specialist in the Honors Program.

Ms.
Chettiar is a member of the Bar of the State of New York and is admitted to
appear before the Federal Southern District of New York. She is a member of the
American Bar Association and the New York County Lawyers’ Association. She is
proficient in Spanish and Tamil.

In
August 2008, Ms. Chettiar joined the Institute for the Study of Regulation as a
Legal Fellow.
