Hugo Schwyzer

Hugo Schwyzer is professor of history and gender studies at Pasadena City College.  He teaches courses on European and religious history, Women in American Society, Gay and Lesbian History, and Men and Masculinity.   A speaker and a workshop facilitator, he has frequently appeared as a guest on nationally syndicated radio programs to discuss issues of gender, sexuality, and the role of men in the feminist movement.  Hugo holds a bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in religious history from UCLA.  He and his wife make their home in Pasadena, where they run an animal rescue charity.  He is an avid marathon runner and an even more avid blogger at http://hugoschwyzer.net
