Emily Teitsworth is the Program Manager for PHI’s Adolescent Girls’ Advocacy & Leadership Initiative (AGALI). Through her work on AGALI, Emily manages the program’s leadership development and advocacy efforts to improve adolescent girls’ health, human rights, and socio-economic wellbeing in Guatemala, Honduras, Malawi, Liberia, and Ethiopia.

For the first time, the United Nations General Assembly has adopted a resolution to declare October 11th as the International Day of the Girl Child, establishing a special day to recognize girls’ rights and the unique challenges facing girls and young women globally.
