Caryn D. Riswold is Associate Professor of Religion and Chair of Gender and Women's Studies at Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois. She is currently one of twenty participants in the Faith and Reproductive Justice Leadership Institute at The Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C., and writes regularly at feminismxianity, a blog on the Progressive Christian Channel at Patheos.com. She is the author of three books, including Feminism and Christianity: Questions and Answers in the Third Wave (2009), and earned her Ph.D. at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.
