Christopher Purdy is Executive Vice President of DKT International, a nonprofit organization that aims to promote family planning and HIV/AIDS prevention through social marketing. He also serves as a member of the DKT International board. Formerly, he was Country Director of DKT’s programs in Turkey, Ethiopia, and Indonesia, where he managed the largest private social marketing family planning program in the world. In many ways, 2012 was a banner year for international family planning and reproductive health. What should we be looking for in 2013?
Use of erotic imagery to promote family planning (as opposed to HIV prevention) has been less the norm but this need not be the case.
