Amy Wilkins

Amy C. Wilkins is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Colorado-Boulder, whose research focuses on the use of sexuality and emotions to craft gender, race, and class identities. Her book, Wannabes, Goths, and Christians: The Boundaries of Sex, Style, and Status
was published by the University of Chicago Press in 2008. She is
currently researching race and gender identities among Black
middle-class students at predominantly white universities, and the use
of monogamy in the construction of notions of love among young and
mid-life adults.
