CHOICE/LESS is a new storytelling podcast from Rewire that will fully launch with our rebrand in March. In each episode of CHOICE/LESS, we bring you personal stories about reproductive injustice, and the laws that put people in choice-less situations. We’ve released the first episode as a preview ahead of Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt oral arguments on March 2, a case between abortion providers and the Texas Department of State Health Services.

In this first episode of CHOICE/LESS, we hear from Candice, an activist, Texan, and Latina who will share her story in front of the Supreme Court this week against the portions of HB 2, Texas’ omnibus abortion law, being challenged in Whole Woman’s Health. Candice talks about how her childhood informed her decisions about her own reproduction, and how HB 2 hindered the choices available to her.
