What Was Anti-Choicer Tim Tebow Doing Delivering a Baby in a Super Bowl Ad?

Tim Tebow is a known anti-choice advocate, and T-Mobile’s decision to feature him in a Super Bowl ad delivering a baby communicates a profound disrespect toward women and those made vulnerable to harm by the restriction of reproductive rights. (That’s everyone.)

The ad was one of a series featuring Tebow engaged in a wide range of activities because he is a free agent who no longer has an NFL contract. It was meant to suggest that T-Mobile wireless consumers can also engage in a wide range of activities because the service does not require a contract. As Super Bowl ad concepts go, it’s well within the range of normal to take a football star and give him the Hollywood treatment: make him a hero while things blow up big-budget style, prod a few laughs, and put the sponsor’s logo on the screen.

But one thing the series did was depict Tebow as a neutral actor in the arena of birth, pregnancy, and reproductive health—of which he is not.

Let’s have a brief history lesson: In 2010, Tim Tebow made headlines by partnering with right-wing group Focus on the Family to create a Super Bowl ad designed to spread the group’s anti-choice message.

The ad created a great deal of controversy for CBS before the Super Bowl that year. In response to outcry from pro-choice advocates and others in the progressive community, CBS acknowledged that it had changed its internal rules regarding advocacy ads. Notably, in 2004, CBS declined to air an ad submitted by the United Church of Christ that had been intended to depict a welcoming stance toward potential parishioners regardless of sexual orientation.

The Focus on the Family Tebow ad that ultimately aired during the 2010 Super Bowl was meant to appear benign. The word “abortion” was not used, it featured Tebow with his mom, Pam, and the spot wrapped by encouraging viewers to go to the group’s website to learn more about their story and, of course, anti-choice views.

Once online, viewers were prompted to watch a longer web-only video sharing a story filled with standard anti-choice rhetoric: assertions that Pam was, during the course of a difficult pregnancy, pressured to have an abortion she did not want, and that medical professionals in the Philippines referred to her fetus as a “tumor” and “blob of tissue.” In the video, Pam extolls the virtues she sees in crisis pregnancy centers, urges women with unplanned pregnancies to avoid abortion, and declares that she takes the platform that her son Tim has seriously.

With this baggage, it’s noteworthy that T-Mobile would choose to depict Tebow delivering a baby in one of its Super Bowl commercials this year. The anti-abortion rights stance parroted by Tebow, Focus on the Family, and the anti-choice community physically endangers women in childbirth. In one gruesome example, Savita Halappanavar died in an Ireland hospital two years ago during a pregnancy because doctors denied her a life-saving abortion.

It may be the case that marketing executives at T-Mobile are not fully aware of the implications of restricting the right to abortion, but with the amount of branding dollars on the line, there is no question that those involved in the release of the recent ad were aware that Tebow had participated in a controversial abortion-related commercial just four years earlier. The decision to show him in a maternity ward, wearing a white coat, and coaching a pregnant woman in labor was a bad one. Depicting famously anti-choice spokespeople as experts, or even ordinary Joes, in the arena of reproductive health is not funny. It’s disrespectful.

I’ve been saying for a while now that the internet needs to take “Tebow” and turn it into a phenomenon like “Santorum.”

    • colleen2

      what an excellent idea.

  • Alicia Zarycki

The first words were about the Dad and Tebow didn’t even look at the laboring woman. I didn’t hear nor saw on Closed Captioning Tebow coaching the woman. More like order the woman like all antichoicers love to do.

I have it on good authority–a friend who works in the front office of an NFL franchise–that one of the main reasons Tim Tebow does not have a contract with an NFL Team, besides the fact that he is a mediocre-to-poor quarterback, is because any team that signs him knows he would use his lofty position as an NFL quarterback as a platform from which to preach and promote his particularly odious form of fundamentalist christianity, which among other things is very anti-choice, anti-gay and anti-public education (Tebow’s parents sued their local school district to allow their homeschooled son to play high school football.) And that would be a headache that no NFL team needs.

The NFL is desperately trying to improve its image and appeal more to women, since Moms are usually the ones who decide if their sons get to play football or not, and recent polls show that up to 70 percent of women say they would not allow their sons to play football, given what we now know about the devastating, lifelong brain damage it can cause. They don’t need a quarterback going around spouting his anti-choice views and offending the majority of female fans. Additionally the league is starting to come around to the issue of LGBT rights and the homophobic culture of football–albeit slowly and painfully. Team owners and GMs–at least the more enlightened ones–fear if they gave Tebow a job, it would only be a matter of time before he made anti-gay comments in the press (think Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty) that would lead to advertiser boycotts and set back any progress the league has made it its nascent battle against homophobia.

Tim just needs to forget about football, and follow his true calling and become a televangelist. Either that or he needs to get enlightened and reject his poisonous and hateful excuse for a religion, but I’m not holding my breath that will ever happen.

He could use his money to feed homeless sex-trafficked kids in Manila and repair mothers suffering obstetric incontinence.

You know the best way to make Tim Tebow go away? Stop writing articles about him.

  • Jenifer Bowen

Oh good grief! Your over-reaction here solidifies my decision. I’m breaking up with my current cell phone provider and going to T-Mobile. Thanks for helping me make the that decision. :)

    • P. McCoy

You are free to do as you choose, however, warning women as well as enlightening men by disclosing anti woman ads represented by a an anti woman, anti gay, fundie fanatic to me makes good sense. I did not see the commercial in question but I am glad to learn about it here. Instead, I watched Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl X, which was great fun with cute animals of all kinds whose antics were carefully supervised by the Animal Humane Society. No one was harmed and good puppies and kittens were adopted by loving caregivers.

      • goatini

I saw the commercial, and I had exactly the same thoughts as Erin (author of the article). Also the thought that T-Mobile seemed to be looking to lose a LOT of business from women.

Also I call shenanigans on Timmy’s mommy – “medical professionals in the Philippines referred to her fetus as a ‘tumor’ and ‘blob of tissue’”? Um, the very Catholic Philippines is one of the most regressive, misogynist countries there is as regards reproductive justice. And the position of the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) “is founded strongly on the principle that ‘life or conception begins at fertilization’ at that moment where there is fusion or union of the sperm and the egg and thus a human person or human being already does exist at the moment of fertilization”. The PMA also condemns abortifacients that “destroys the fertilized egg or the embryo’ and “abhors any procedure…or medication that will interrupt any stage of fertilization and prevents its normal, physiological, uninterrupted growth to adulthood’.

        • colleen2

T-Mobile has the WORST customer service of any phone company I’ve done business with. It does not surprise me at all that it is a religious right Republican company.

        • P. McCoy

That is why their population has overflowed the world and their children scratch through dumpsters looking for food or in desperation to just survive they end up in the hands of priestly sexual predators or victims of sex trafficking..

      • UMovies

he’s not anti woman, nor is he anti gay, nor does he hate anyone including you, you are deceived if you believe that, hes just a Christian, they didn’t pick him because of his beliefs, they chose him cause he a pro football player, and a sports analyst, and does other commercials and stuff, and he was a hysman trophy winner. .

        • P. McCoy

He should stick to playing football then, instead of telling women what they should be doing with their own bodies, no one has asked for his opinion, nor wants it.

          • UMovies

yall are trippin he’s an actor in this he had no say in it and I promise you they didn’t do it to offend you that was just some thing that easily happen by mistake

          • Jennifer Starr

No, he’s not an actor. He might be trying to act–trying being the operative word– but he’s not an actor.

          • UMovies

Jennifer if you yourself acted in a commercial you would be hired as an actor and get paid as an actor because that’s what your doing, I’ve been in a commercial before as an actor, and besides the fact that some people hate him he didn’t do a bad job, other people have it as being in the top ten commercials, and that not his only commercials as he has an endorsement for some headphone company, as for the misspelled word I knew it was misspelled as I’m typing on this computer it comes up that its misspelled , but I choses not to correct it as I thought you would know what I meant

          • Jennifer Starr

I knew it was misspelled as I’m typing on this computer it comes up that its misspelled, but I choses not to correct it as I thought you would know what I meant

This has got to be the strangest reason that I have ever come across.

          • Defamate

Eh, sometimes I am too lazy to correct spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. Especially when on the phone.

But he is still an idiot.

          • Jennifer Starr

            Yes, yes he is.

          • fiona64

Oh, you “choses” not to correct it. Okay then.

          • Defamate

            Choses…mirable…so many options.

          • fiona64

He is not an actor (he’s a spokesmodel) … and no one dragged him kicking and screaming to do this ad or any other. He did indeed have a choice. You are the one who is “trippin’ “. Learn to spell, and to punctuate, please.

          • colleen2

Y’all be the one trippin if you think we’re going to buy that

        • Jennifer Starr

And it’s Heisman. If you’re a football fan you should at least know how to spell it.

  • Shannon Martinez

Hated that commercial too, and it’s making me consider whether I want T Moble for a cellular provider. Freedom of speech is a two way street but Tebow is so busy spewing god everywhere that he cannot hear any other point of view.

  • Ivy Mike

In answer to the query posed at the beginning of the article…

He was making a complete and utter jackass of himself, the only skill or talent he demonstrates with any consistency.

  • UMovies

Tim loves everything about having babies taking care of them loving them, hes probably gonna be the best dad ever, hes just not into killing them, loved t-mobile before the commercial love them even more now.

    • goatini

But since no babies have ever been harmed in any way in a safe, legal pregnancy termination, you’re just spewing vicious lying propaganda. All babies, ever, have already been born.

      • Mindy McIndy

Like I always say, if these people know of folks killing babies, they really need to go to the police.

      • UMovies

even the gas chamber which is supposed to be painless will cause some pain as they are gasping for breath, because not all pain is physical. but that’s beside the point, it simple the title say that Tim Tebow is anti-choice he is not, he is pro life, just life some one who is pro-choice it would be wrong to call them pro-death.

        • Jennifer Starr

What does the gas chamber have to do with the fact that legal abortion is not tantamount to ‘killing babies’?

          • UMovies

theres a baby, and hes alive and then he get killed not by natural means or by his choice, that means he was killed, legal , Im black it was legal to hang me on a tree and kill me not long ago or to kill Indians and soon to kill the elderly so what does that have to do with what it is, if it was a plant and took its life then you killed it

          • Jennifer Starr

Blacks, Indians and the Elderly are born people. Comparing a non-sentient fetus which is inside a woman’s body and directly affecting her life and health is comparing apples to oranges and it’s actually insulting. And most abortions take place during the first trimester, where the fetus ranges from a quarter of an inch to two inches and doesn’t have a functional nervous system.

          • fiona64

So, you must be a Buddhist vegetarian then, right? And against the death penalty? I just want to make sure your position is consistent.

(A fetus is not an infant, BTW.)

          • goatini

All babies, ever, have already been born. Stop lying.

          • Defamate

And it used to be legal to rape black women and force them to give birth. But you support slavery of women, don’t you?

PS slave women routinely ended their pregnancies with herbs

        • fiona64

Wow, talk about a whole slew of non sequiturs.

It’s so easy to be an anti-choice male, isn’t it? You (and your BFF Tebow) just flap your paw and make pronouncements about women’s health care issues that will Never Affect You. Meanwhile, women die of pregnancy complications every day — and yes, here in the US, where we’re #50 in maternal mortality. Early pregnancy termination is 14 times safer than gestation and delivery, so don’t you dare try to pretend your stance is about women’s health. It isn’t about anything except controlling women’s sexuality.

Source for my statistical assertion is here: http://health.usnews.com/health-news/family-health/womens-health/articles/2012/01/23/abortion-safer-for-women-than-childbirth-study-claims

        • Defamate

A fetus cannot feel pain, and seeing as how feti lack an identity, it won’t ever suffer the emotional pain of non existence.

      • Timothy A. Jumonville

Let’s see… if you leave that “non-viable tissue mass” alone for 9 months, what do you have? A baby. It is a scientific fact that a fetus at 2 months has arms and legs and looks like a baby, albeit somewhat malformed. But, statistically speaking, if allowed to continue to form it will be fine once the birth has taken place. Therefore, If it looks like a baby at 2 months and it looks like a baby at 9 months, then, logically, it’s a baby at 2 months the same as it is at 9 months. What? Is it not a “baby” until it actually passes through the birth canal? That’s sort of like saying a 50,000 ton cargo ship is just a rowboat until it passes through the other side of the Panama Canal. What a fallacious argument to say that no “baby” is harmed by a pregnancy termination, as if it is something else. Does not pregnancy mean “baby”? How utterly cruel and heartless you are. Oh, let’s just eliminate that little life form for convenience sake! Wouldn’t want to BURDEN you with it now would we? 50 million lives have been lost, gone, due to your way of thinking. Allow me to congratulate you! Stalin, Hitler, and all of the other tyrants throughout history that have viciously ruled their people with an iron fist would be envious of you and your accomplishment.

        • Defamate

if you leave that “non-viable tissue mass” alone for 9 months, what do you have?

If you leave it alone, it’s not gonna grow, because it literally builds itself out of a woman’s body. It steals nutrients from her blood (sugar, calcium and iron) and disposes of it’s toxic biowastes into her blood. If you ‘leave it alone’ – as in, a petri dish, it will die. Because it cannot survive on it’s own – with or without technological help. That is what non-viable means. It’s a proto-human that is under construction.

A baby. It is a scientific fact that a fetus at 2 months has arms and legs and looks like a baby, albeit somewhat malformed.

Incomplete. Partially formed. Non-functional brain and organs. What it *might* become in 9 months is immaterial. Potentiality is not actuality. And even you admit that – it’s not a baby now, and it may or may not be in the future – and this potential human does NOT have the right to use an actual person’s body as life support.

What a fallacious argument to say that no “baby” is harmed by a pregnancy termination, as if it is something else

No, a ‘baby’ isn’t harmed by abortion, as you yourself have admitted – it might be a baby in 9 months, it might not be.

          Does not pregnancy mean “baby”?

Pregnancy means a woman is pregnant with a zygote/embryo/fetus that is using her body as a life support system, nothing more. A baby/infant is what exists AFTER birth when it can survive as an independent autonomous individual.

Oh, let’s just eliminate that little life form for convenience sake!

Convenience, you say? Who is the heartless one. You want to destroy women’s lives and health all because you want to privilege what you admit is NOT a baby over the life of an actual born sentient sapient woman.

Let’s explore the ‘minor inconvenience’ of pregnancy, shall we:

          Pregnancy and health:

“That means each year in the U.S., about 700 women die of pregnancy-related complications and 52,000 experience emergencies such as acute renal failure, shock, respiratory
distress, aneurysms and heart surgery. An additional 34,000 barely avoid death.”

Data modeling suggesting 21/100,000 US maternal mortality rate

In 2004/2005, 1.7 million women per year suffered adverse health effects

          refractory gastroesophageal
          reflux disease

          aggravation of pre-pregnancy
diseases and conditions (e.g. epilepsy is present in .5%
of pregnant women, and the pregnancy alters drug metabolism and treatment
prospects all the while it increases the number and frequency of seizures)

          severe post-partum
          depression and psychosis

          research now indicates
a possible link between ovarian cancer and female fertility treatments,
including “egg harvesting” from infertile women and donors

          research also now
indicates correlations between lower breast cancer survival rates and proximity
in time to onset of cancer of last pregnancy

          circulatory collapse

          placental abruption

          obstetric fistula

I can only choose MY actions. You’re welcome to choose yours.

          • Defamate

Yes, you do wish harm on women. You believe that a microscopic cell has MORE value than a woman. You believe that that cell, which is ONLY a potential baby, has the right to maim and kill women.

            Now, answer my question.

Why do you think so little of women, Timmy?

PS And there is nothing more innocent than a baby, fetus, tissue mass, whatever you choose to call it.

Pregnancy is a mindless biological process. It may not ‘wish’ to harm the woman – but it does. And even if it lacks intent, it is still guilty of harming the woman. Period. This is a FACT. You believe that women should be subjugated to a mindless biological process that can maim and kill them. Why? Why do you think so little of women?

            Prov 9:1-18 (ESV2011)
Wisdom has built her house; she has hewn her seven pillars. She has slaughtered her beasts; she has mixed her wine; she has also set her table. She has sent out her young women to call from the highest places in the town, “Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” To him who lacks sense she says, “Come, eat of my bread and drink of the wine I have mixed. Leave your simple ways, and live, and walk in the way of insight.”

Whoever corrects a scoffer gets himself abuse, and he who reproves a wicked man incurs injury. Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you; reprove a wise man, and he will love you. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. For by me your days will be multiplied, and years will be added to your life. If you are wise, you are wise for yourself; if you scoff, you alone will bear it.

The woman Folly is loud; she is seductive and knows nothing. She sits at the door of her house; she takes a seat on the highest places of the town, calling to those who pass by, who are going straight on their way, “Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” And to him who lacks sense she says, “Stolen water is sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.” But he does not know that the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of Sheol.

            I call you Folly.

          • Defamate

That does not answer my question, Timmy.

Why do you believe that embryos are more valuable than women?

Are you deaf, mate? I have told you that life is supreme, wherever it can be found.

            John 16:21 (ESV2011)
When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.

If it is a burden to you to have a child, then don’t get pregnant. If you get pregnant and don’t want it, then get rid of it through abortion. I have no quarrel with your liberty and freedom to choose what you want for your life. But, if you choose that, then know this: That innocent BABY in you will be KILLED and the doing of it will haunt you the rest of your life.

I heard one of those scamming liars on all-lie-all-the-time EWTN (Roman Catholic Propaganda) Radio a few months ago, trying to entice new meat into their vicious snares for profit. This vile witch was going on about how “even if you DON’T feel guilty and ashamed, call us, because you really ARE guilty and ashamed, you just don’t KNOW it”. • Ineedacoffee

And also made liable for any medical costs they incur including mental health and ongoing care

          • fiona64

Little Timmy, you’ve listed only the most minor of pregnancy side effects. I notice you left off hyperemesis gravidarum (which almost killed me during the pregnancy that resulted in my now-27-year-old son). I notice you also left off pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, gestational diabetes (which may become permanent), pubic symphysis diastasis … and a whole slew of other very serious side effects that are not at all rare.

Pregnancy is NOT a state of wellness. It kills women every single day, and yes — even here in the developed world. The US is #50 in maternal mortality.

Of`course, none of those things probably matter much to you, do they? Because, after all, as an anti-choice male, you will never experience any of these complications that kill women during gestation. You just wave your hand and announce that it’s No Big Deal.

            Risible. Absolutely risible.

          • HeilMary1

And like terrorist Randall Terry, he’d divorce any wife suffering these injuries!

          • HeilMary1

You wish death and vaginal, bladder and bowel shredding on us as punishment for having any kind of sex. You would never tolerate male childbirth that shredded your penis and you’d put abortion kiosks on every corner if you faced such grisly injuries every time you had sex!

          • Jennifer Starr

Only no one is talking about killing.

          • Timothy A. Jumonville

To take something that is living, and to so injure it to the point of it dying, that is the very definition of killing. A fetus is alive. It is not inert. To willfully injure it by whatever means used, is, by definition, killing it.

So yes, we are talking about killing.

          • Jennifer Starr

So what do you think the penalty should be?

          • HeilMary1

“Timmy” is probably clinic bomber / child molester Curtis Anton Beseda.

          • ljean8080

Tim and Curtis Beseda ARE 2 diiferent people.

          • Defamate

Yet you seem to think it is totes awesome for a fetus to maim and kill a woman.

Why do you think so little of women Timmy?

          • HeilMary1

Your precious fetuses poison their hosts with fatal sepsis, cancer, allergies, and bladder and bowel shredding to name a few dangers. You willfully exploit fetuses to maim and murder millions of women. You should be in jail for Munchausen by Proxy abuse.

          • goatini

            No and yes.

          • Ivy Mike

As if forced-birthers don’t widely support various types of killing, when it suits them. Indeed, they can be found cheering for wars and capital punishment, as well as for the right of citizens to shoot miscreants, quite commonly.

Oh, and of course no forced birther has EVER slain any actual, living persons themselves, right?

          • colleen2

            you are indeed.

          • Renee Goodwin

I saw something interesting about pregnancy, apparently the mother is frequently allergic to the fetus, and the placenta (usually) serves as a barrier/protection against the allergy

Something else kinda interesting, sometimes women develop an allergy to a man’s seed after having a child with him

        • goatini

I am the child of a survivor, and I find your vicious false conflation of the free exercise of the guarantees of the protections of the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment, with tyranny, to be morally abhorrent.

It is a scientific fact that a fetus at 2 months has arms and legs and looks like a baby, albeit somewhat malformed.

Really? Then you should readily be able to pick out the human embryo (and that’s what it is, at 8 weeks’ gestation) from this selection of viviparous vertebrates at similar stages of gestation: http://www.exploratorium.edu/exhibits/embryo/embryoflash.html

T Mobile added 4 million customers in December last year so they must be doing something right. It’s sad you get paid to write stupid shit.

    • fiona64

        • goatini

Considering that Timmy’s Mommy alleges that “medical professionals in the Philippines referred to her fetus as a ‘tumor’ and ‘blob of tissue’”- the position of the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) “is founded strongly on the principle that ‘life or conception begins at fertilization’ at that moment where there is fusion or union of the sperm and the egg and thus a human person or human being already does exist at the moment of fertilization”. So I call shenanigans on Timmy’s Mommy and her BS story.

    • Arachne646

Why do you come here to write obscene insults about a logical article about a Superbowl commercial that is made to send message(s) to the viewing public? If you don’t like the opinions that are customarily shared on RHrealitycheck, just don’t raise your blood pressure by trying to imply that we want to infringe upon Tim Tebow’s religious or free speech rights. It’s just the commercial that’s in extremely poor taste, particularly since America has such a relatively high maternal mortality rate.

  • Julie Culshaw

The woman in Ireland died from an infection, not from the pregnancy. Pro-choicers are using this case to advance their agenda, but the facts do not bear them out.

    • Jennifer Starr

The source of the infection being the non-viable fetus which was being miscarried and they failed to remove because ‘it still had a heartbeat’, even though they knew it was never going to survive.

      • UMovies

Jennifer he isn’t against nor am I not against contraception’s, if you believe that your delusional , he’s not at war against contraceptives, he’s not against people using them, he’s against them being handed out to kids with out a parent. and stuff like that, he doesn’t want to cut out programs that help mother and children he just does want to kill them (the babies) be fore they get a chance, if you had a program out there to help kids or women Tebow would be the first guy to sign up as would I, and again it not anti choice as there are about a thousand other choice you could chose other than abortion, like adoption, counseling, different organization set up to help single moms, etc.

        • Jennifer Starr

Not just talking about your bestest friend Tebow, and not delusional. You look at the things that conservative.supposedly ‘pro-life’ legislators want to cut, like education, food stamps, insurance for children, school lunches and WiC. All the while they’re protesting coverage of contraception in insurance plans under the guise of ‘religious freedom’ and ‘conscience’. At the same time they’re working to close abortion clinics, imposing forced ultrasound laws and waiting periods that make it harder for women to end their pregnancies or even to get basic reproductive health care. I’m sticking with anti-choice.

        • fiona64

No, dummy … there is only one other choice besides abortion once you are pregnant, and that is gestation. Adoption is only a choice if you don’t want to be a parent — and there are more than 100K children available for adoption right now in this country already.

        • HeilMary1

Adoption doesn’t solve fetal damage to women’s bodies.

      • Julie Culshaw

I have read that the infection could have been better managed but wasn’t. Even if an abortion in this case would have saved this woman’s life, (and I don’t disagree with abortion for that reason), why is the exception being used to advance a total change in law? Less than 2% of abortions are required for the health of the mother, yet the other 98% of pregnancies are aborted for the sake of that 2%. I have yet to meet a person who really wants to reduce the number of abortions, there is no abortion that a pro-choicer will not defend.

        • fiona64

No woman is required to reveal the reason she seeks an abortion. And those reasons are 100 percent none of your frigging business unless you are the woman in question.

Anti-choicers are also notoriously anti-contraception, so we fight against that as well. You all are in a big rush to shut down Planned Parenthood and other clinics that help distribute contraception, as well as providing numerous other women’s health services. So, how about if you knock off pretending that pro-choicers think every pregnancy should be aborted and look at the word *choice.* We support a woman’s right to make her own medical decisions: use or non-use of contraception, gestation or termination, adoption or rearing with or without a partner. That’s the whole gamut. The anti-choicers (I am starting to think of y’all as “no choicers”) think every pregnancy should be gestated regardless of circumstances.

Stop pretending that this is about anything but controlling other women … and seek to control yourself.

          • Julie Culshaw

So angry. If what is being chosen does not do harm to anyone else, I have no problem. But abortion does eliminate a life, and that needs to be looked at. I am all for women having choice when it comes to their own bodies, but there is another body involved in an abortion. That is why this issue will never go away, because we are still dealing with a baby who doesn’t disappear as you would wish.

          • fiona64

You need to learn a couple of things, Julie. First, a fetus is not an infant … there is no infant until birth. Second, since the majority of abortions take place at the embryonic phase, there is not “another body” … it is literally part of the woman’s body due to the umbilicus. Most people learn about the development of viviparous vertebrates in high school; were you not present on those days?

And you’re goddamned right I’m angry — at legislators who want to practice medicine without a license, at men who think they should dictate women’s health care decisions, and at women who are so convinced that they know what’s best for other women they’ve never even met that they want to stick their noses into the medical records of strangers.

I guess I just lack the hubris to assume I know what’s best for some woman I’ve never even met and whose circumstances I don’t know. What makes YOU think that you have the expertise to make that decision for a stranger? Further more your “if what is being chosen does not do harm to anyone else” statement is clearly a lie; you don’t care what kind of harm a woman suffers so long as she stays pregnant. My pregnancy nearly killed me; I would NOT force another woman to risk life and health against her will for gestation. You quite plainly *would.*

          • Defamate

The right to life does not include the right to harm another person in order to preserve that life.

Oh, and a zygote/embryo/fetus is alive, but it isn’t A LIFE. It’s a mindless body throughout most of the pregnancy.

          • goatini

Yeah, we get angry when nosy strangers want to attempt to abrogate the civil, human and Constitutional rights of living, breathing US citizens. As well we SHOULD.

And FYI, there are NO babies involved in any way whatsoever in a safe, legal pregnancy termination, because all babies, ever, have already been born.

          • Jennifer Starr

Yeah, it’s really quite easy to get annoyed when strangers wish to treat a woman’s body and pregnancy like they’re public property, even to the point of condemning her to death for the sin of miscarrying a non-viable fetus.

          • HeilMary1

You oppose choice on behalf of pedophile priests.

Less than 2% of abortions are required for the health of the mother,
yet the other 98% of pregnancies are aborted for the sake of that 2%

there is no such thing as a healthy pregnancy
all pregnancies can kill and maim

only the pregnant person can choose how much risk they are willing to expose themselves to

          NOT YOU

        • Jennifer Starr

Not being an Irish citizen, I really can’t speak for Irish law. But it seems just plain cruel to not remove a non-viable fetus when a woman is clearly in miscarriage, the fetus isn’t going to survive, and if the woman develops an infection she may not survive. There was one life that could’ve been saved and they failed to even do that. How is that pro-life? As I said, I’m not Irish, but I think it’s clear that something has to change.

        • Jennifer Starr

Some people even said that they would’ve permitted removal of Savita’s uterus under some archaic notion of ‘double effect’. I don’t suppose they ever considered the fact that this would’ve deprived her of the chance to ever have another child. No, she must be punished for not being able to carry this pregnancy to term. And you wonder why we sound angry.

        • HeilMary1

Mother killer, ALL abortions are for health reasons, including avoiding embarrassing bladder and bowel incontinence.

    • P. McCoy

You keep telling yourself that. Savita was murdered by the Catholic Church.

    • fiona64

No, dumbass. She developed sepsis because the physicians refused to remove the dying fetus … because they could still hear a heart tone. The fetus was 100 percent non-viable, and still the Irish Catholic hospital would not perform an abortion to save Savita’s life.

Even an Irish jury (majority Catholic) confirmed that an abortion would have saved Savita’s life. http://thinkprogress.org/health/2013/04/22/1900171/jury-savita-death-abortion-care/

Quote: The two-week fact-finding probe into Halapannavar’s case found that the
hospital is to blame for failing to effectively diagnose and treat
Halapannavar during her stay. During the inquest, the key expert witness
      — the former head of a major Dublin maternity hospital — said he was
“confident” that Halappanavar’s death would have been averted
if she had received an abortion one or two days earlier. He also
criticized Ireland’s abortion law, explaining that since doctors can’t
perform a termination “unless the woman looks like she is going to die,”
the policy sets up a Catch-22 where it can already be too late to save
the woman by the time doctors finally reach the conclusion that she is
      in danger.

    • Ineedacoffee

An infection that should never have occurred and wouldn’t have is she was given the right to abort
But no the menz always know better

    • HeilMary1

Liar, her infection was caused by her DEAD, ROTTING fetus.

  • UMovies

in response to all the crazy people below, again tim is not anti choice, he’s pro life and there a big difference, so him delivering a baby is exactly what he believes in 100% , how ever he’s just an actor in this commercial, Im sure he had zero choice in what the commercial was about, a bad choice for them to choose would be for him to do an abortion then I would side with you cause that would be wrong.

    • Jennifer Starr

No, anti-choice is pretty much the correct term. Claiming to be ‘pro-life’, while at the same time being against things like contraception and wanting to cut programs that actually help mothers and their children is not pro-life at all. Yet that is what most conservatives support. A more appropriate term could be ‘pro-birth’, because in their minds, once you’re born you’re on your own.

    • fiona64

No, he’s anti-choice. I concur that there is a difference between being pro-life and anti-choice, and in the more than 20 years I’ve been working on this issue, I can count the number of actual pro-lifers I’ve run across on one hand and still be able to hold a cigarette.

      • UMovies

that’s your problem then as you must not be from this planet as more people are pro life than not, they however are also pro choice, meaning that they would never kill a baby but they don’t want to take any ones right not to away, me I’m Christian as well but and side with the bible but I understand and realize that it important to you to be able to abort your baby if you want, and cant say that I wouldn’t if circumstances were bad such as my wife might die or something like that, I wouldn’t make it illegal but I also would make it mandatory either. Again he’s not anti choice he’s a Christian. Like if he knew you and that you wanted to abort your baby then he wouldnt try to tackle you and keep you from doing it, but he would try to talk you out of it and give your some options, and if you went ahead and did it, he would counsel you, and love on you afterward to help you deal with the grief that they didn’t tell you about would happen.

        • Jennifer Starr

No one is talking about making abortion mandatory–we are not pro-abortion. Pro-choice means just that–we support the choice of the woman to either terminate her pregnancy or to keep and give birth and either raise the child or give it up for adoption. Her pregnancy and her decision. And I think it’s rich that you imagine Tim Tebow, a man who will never be pregnant, would know more about a woman’s pregnancy options and what ending a pregnancy means. Really, how condescending. You do know that over two-thirds of women who have abortions already have children?

        • Defamate

A fetus is not a baby. And opposing abortion on religious grounds = fail.

          • egawrons

A fetus is the 1st stage of being a baby. The reality is that if you kill the fetus you are killing the baby to be. Of course I realize it makes pro-choice folks feel better to believe a fetus is something alien and has nothing to do with a baby – but you know the truth. I’m sure you will come back with legal definitions and “women’s rights” – but you know the truth. Just admit you are fine with killing what would be a baby and really have no problem with killing a baby – face the truth and just maybe all that hate in you will be gone. Then again you might not be able to live with yourself.

          • Defamate

You are admitting that a fetus is ONLY a potential baby. Not an actual baby. And until it becomes a baby it has no right to be treated as a baby.

Potential does NOT override actual. Women are ACTUAL living beings who can suffer. A fetus cannot suffer, and is nothing more than a mindless body for the majority of the pregnancy.

And by your logic, you’re already dead. You should be buried, and your relatives and the state should get to take your stuff. Because you’re a corpse to be we should treat you like a corpse right this minute. Agreed?

          • egawrons

By you logic you can kill a fetus at any time before birth because at any time before birth it is not a baby. You would have no problem killing an 8 month fetus that would live outside the womb. To you that is not a baby – and has no right to be treated as a baby.
Life is life at any stage and if you value life you protect it at any stage. By your logic life has no value even if it will indeed be a baby if it is not aborted. By your logic you should have never been born since you never had a right to life.

          • Defamate

Why do you always turn to late term abortion when you find yourself on the losing end of a discussion?

Are you going to start talking about infanticide next?

          • goatini

            Stop spreading deliberate ignorance.

          • HeilMary1

The difference is that BORN fetuses are no longer physical threats to their mothers, and no woman would capriciously abort @ $30,000 at 8 months without dire medical reasons.

          • goatini

I would admit nothing of the sort, because I don’t admit to some made-up nonsense. And the person with “all that hate” would be the one who comes to a reproductive justice website, dedicated to protecting the civil, human and Constitutional rights of female US citizens to the guarantees of the protection of the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment, to post theocratic misogynistic hate speech against female US citizens, to post intentionally false and misleading forced-birther propaganda, and to attempt to impose false blame and false shame on innocent female US citizens and their rights.

          • fiona64

Why are anti-choicers so upset by actual medical terminology like “embryo” and “fetus”? All infants (or, as you insist on calling them, babies) are *born.*

          • HeilMary1

Given that fetuses cause gross and deadly injuries to women, no woman needs to feel guilty about defending herself through abortion. Stop treating us as throwaway incubators for your pedophile priests.

        • fiona64

Can someone parse this into English for me? My illiterate whackjob-to-English decoder ring is broken.

BTW, the vast majority of women after abortion? Feel nothing but relief. None of them need some anti-choice dumb jock to “counsel” them. http://www.guttmacher.org/pubs/gpr/09/3/gpr090308.html

          • Jennifer Starr

Basically it’s just one long run-on sentence, chock full of bad spelling and even worse grammar. And he apparently has some serious guy love-hero-worship thing going on with Tim Tebow.

          • egawrons

Very sad after one allows their would be child to be killed and the only thing they feel is “relief”. Even sader is that you completely ignore the vast majority of women that will admit they regret having an abortion for their entire life. But you believe what you wish – you are going to anyway.

          • Defamate

A fetus is not a child. Children are born. Children are sentient. Children are not mindless proto-humans that are under construction.

          • goatini

“the vast majority of women that will admit they regret having an abortion for their entire life”

But since studies have conclusively proven that the vast majority of patients receiving a safe, legal pregnancy termination feel RELIEF, that’s just a big fat lie.

          • egawrons

As big a lie as your claim all women only feel “relief” after an abortion and NEVER regret it.

          • Defamate

            http://www.guttmacher.org/pubs/gpr/09/3/gpr090308.html

A majority of women feel relief after abortion.

Sure, some may regret it, people regret lots of things.

Ya know what? People also regret having kids!

            http://childfreedom.blogspot.ca/2011/04/i-regret-having-kids.html

          • goatini

I said “the vast majority”, not “all”, as you falsely allege.

And I’m of the opinion that the very, very tiny minority of patients who feel otherwise were brainwashed by vicious liars like you, and vicious liars like theocratic misogynist Frank Pavone, into FALSE blame and FALSE shame. Pavone makes a boatload of dough exploiting innocent women by lying to them about FALSE blame and FALSE shame.

          • Jennifer Starr

Actually, no–it’s not the vast majority who feel regret.

          • fiona64

Very sad that you ignore peer-reviewed studies that prove you wrong. But you believe what you wish — you are going to anyway.

          • HeilMary1

Why would women regret not suffering obstetric bladder and bowel incontinence??

        • Jennifer Starr

he would counsel you, and love on you afterward to help you deal with the grief that they didn’t tell you about would happen.

Sorry, but I find the idea of a strange guy trying to ‘love on me’ completely creepy.

          • Defamate

            Prude.

        • Renee Goodwin

You do realize that abortion is not only permitted in the bible, but it is encouraged? I wish more of this self described bible experts would actually sit down and read the book, instead of believing what overpaid fundie preachers tell them is in it

          • UMovies

I read the bible from front to back several times and you aren’t even close to the truth with your statement, God is Love.

          • Ineedacoffee

            Bull sh*t
God is full of hate, disrespect and double standards
All favour the male of course

          • fiona64

Then you need to re-read Numbers, sweetie … because a woman is forced to consume an abortifacient as a test of marital fidelity.

          • Aquaria

You haven’t read it, you lying dirtbag. You’ve LOOKED at it, but you have read it. Not for comprehension, and not without some genocidal conman telling you how to interpret what little a moron like you looked at.

If you’d read it, for comprehension, not affirmation of your stupidity, you would know full well that your genocidal sky daddy is murderous filth and is ALL FOR killing embryos and fetuses.

It’s not our fault that you’re the typical christfilth that doesn’t know how to read for comprehension.

  • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

It’s a commercial for goodness sake. You are looking way to in to this, it’s honestly pathetic. You choose to spew disrespectful comments towards someone who doesn’t have the same views as you is closed minded and ignorant. I don’t know who made you a moral authority bit someone made a big mistake. I hope you have a real job because I’ve never heard of you and unfortunately Google put your awful article on my phone.

    • goatini

Closed-minded, ignorant Tebow and his Mommy have already spewed lots of disrespectful comments towards the civil, human and Constitutional rights of living, breathing female US citizens over the past several years. People like YOU make these two jokers a so-called “moral authority”, when they are nothing but a pair of low-life hustlers using their 15 minutes to advocate the exploitation and oppression of female US citizens.

And I can tell you that I IMMEDIATELY thought exactly what Ms Matson opines above, when I saw that offensive ad on Sunday.

      • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

Not everyone can be a liberal who is always right, unlike you! I’m so happy a commercial gets you so upset and aggravated. I think the root of your anger is no matter what you do in life you will never have earning power and influence like Tim Tebow has. Sorry to stir up the self appointed civil liberties experts like YOU and Ms. Matson. It blows my mind how you come to the conclusion that Tebow delivering a child EXPLOITS and OPPRESSES U.S. female citizens. Quit playing the victim and just enjoy the fact you have the freedoms we U.S. citizens enjoy.

        • goatini

Annnnnnd…. cue the “Shut Up And Be Grateful” shaming and silencing attempt.

Closed-minded, ignorant forced-birth advocates like Timmy and his Mommy (and YOU) advocate for the exploitation and oppression of female US citizens. They (and YOU) advocate for the abrogation and erasure of the civil, human and Constitutional rights of female US citizens.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

Cue the immature name calling like were in grade school. I’m sorry your life is so terrible that you bash and try to belittle people with different opinions than yours. Here you go putting words in my mouth that I’m trying to put down women and hold them back from bettering themselves. Your a piece of work, I would love to substitute work for another four letter word. I never said Tebow or myself are moral authorities you said that. I don’t think you would ever have to worry about having the choice to abort because no one wants to be with someone who complains just to complain. It’s a damn commercial not the beginning of a world altering event. I wish your mother had the choice back 50 years ago so I wouldn’t be sitting here going back and forth with someone who needs a reality check crying over a f…ing commercial. I know your probably an over weight disgusting beast anyway so go eat a gallon of Ben and jerrys, rest your beef curtains and call it a day. YOUR THE WINNER!

          • goatini

YOU came here, a reproductive justice website, SPECIFICALLY to bash and belittle people with different opinions than yours. YOU are the one who is doing the bashing and belittling.

Anyone who advocates for the abrogation and erasure of the guarantees of the protections of the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution, for only ONE gender, based on gender and gender ALONE, IS “put(ting) down women and hold(ing) them back from bettering themselves”.

And you have some quite misogynistic language in your posts. You don’t like females very much at all and seem to see them only as receptacles and/or servants for your convenience. So you viciously attack with hate speech to attempt to silence them.

          • Renee Goodwin

Sounds like you are a real fan of women alright, do you call your wife’s private parts those nasty names?
Sounds more like a typical sour grapes to me, she doesn’t like you so you imagine her to be disgusting

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

I’m sitting here in her vehicle right now reading all of these to her and were laughing about it so yeah I really hate my wife.

          • fiona64

I pity the poor woman, that she couldn’t find a man to marry …

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

You resort to name calling simply due to your weak mental state. I believe your describing your current and future situation. It’s unfortunate you let yourself go, to the point that anyone of the opposite sex won’t even acknowledge your existence. Go eat it will soothe your problems based on your physical and mental issues. Your life is just a vicious cycle. I truly feel sorry for people who are doomed to wear sweat pants and never leave the house, due to the fact that your legs can’t support such massive weight.

          • fiona64

There it is … just the kind of intelligence I’ve come to expect from the typical anti-choice male.

Don’t quit your day job to join Dionne Warwick’s Psychic Friends, sweetie.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

I would never quit my job, I make too much to even consider that. I’m sure I’m paying for your life style in one way or another. Got to love people like you who bitch and complain, while they sit around and collect subsidies and just get fatter off the hard work of others. Your welcome.

          • goatini

I challenge you to tell me exactly what “subsidies” I “collect”. Looking forward to it.

          • egawrons

There is no civil, human or consitutional right for a female to have an abortion. What we have is a society, in the name of “women rights”, that will put up with killing life so they can claim they support “women rights”. You fear that could change and it drives you insane that ANYONE would support such change. Well get use to it – nothing stays the same.

          • goatini

Due Process clause of the 14th Amendment. Look it up.

          • egawrons

Don’t see the word abortion mentioned – look it up.

          • Defamate

            Doesn’t have to be mentioned.

The Court declined to adopt the district court’s Ninth Amendment rationale, and instead asserted that the “right of privacy, whether it be founded in the Fourteenth Amendment’s
concept of personal liberty and restrictions upon state action, as we
feel it is, or, as the district court determined, in the Ninth
Amendment’s reservation of rights to the people, is broad enough to
encompass a woman’s decision whether or not to terminate her pregnancy.

            ———-

If you deny a woman the right to make private medical decisions, you treat her like property. You take away her freedom.

          • goatini

Privacy in medical decisions. Which medical decision do you want for me to make for you without your consent?

          • Aquaria

It doesn’t say she CAN’T have one, either, genocidal christfilth.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

You have mentioned due process clause of the 14th amendment at least 5 times in your posts. Find another talking point. You twist the words people use just to benifit yourself and try to make them look bad. You also put words into other people’s mouths. Learn how to interpret what you read. I don’t hate women, I love women, as every man should. I just don’t care for bitter, hateful women like GOATLOVER here. It doesn’t bother me one bit if you want to get an abortion, that’s your prerogative. Do whatever floats your boat. Just don’t bash people who don’t share your views.

          • Defamate

If you loved women you wouldn’t want them to be enslaved to a microscopic cell, asshole.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

You must read what you want to read to and put words in my mouth. I already said I don’t care what you do when your pregnant. I don’t care if you abort. Get the sand out of your flapping beef curtains and you won’t be so cranky. Cunt!

          • Defamate

Get the sand out of your flapping beef curtains and you won’t be so cranky. Cunt!

You were talking about how you love women?

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

I give respect where respect is due. Your first reply to me was to call me asshole. Just because I don’t care for your sorry ass does not include all women. I said I don’t care if you get abortions. I DON’T CARE! ABORT ALL YOU WANT. Maybe you wouldn’t be here if your mother had the choice and the world would be a better place.

          • Defamate

Then why are you here to whine about abortion then?

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

I’m not here to wine about abortion I originally commented on the commercial and how Tebow DELIVERING a CHILD is NOT OPPRESSIVE TO WOMEN. Read the previous posts where goatini chimes in.

          • Defamate

so you came here just to insult people?

            cool story bro

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

buy you quoting t shirts that you buy from Hot Topic doesn’t make you cool

          • goatini

An advocate of gestational slavery, delivering a child, absolutely is offensive and oppressive to women.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

there’s a very simple cure to your disposition don’t get pregnant.

          • fiona64

Oh, well, thank you for that genius advice. Where did you attend medical school, again?

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

just because you think that about pregnancy does not make you the spokesman for all women worldwide believe it or not there are women who do want to have children. in frin from your view here you make it wrong for women who want to get pregnant you are against that so you apparently aren’t for women equal rights

          • Jennifer Starr

And you don’t speak for all women either. And we support women having children just like we support women who wish to end their pregnancies.

          • goatini

You fail to understand a very basic concept:

Hard Work: A good thing in and of itself – but if forced to do it against your will without compensation and at high risk, it’s slavery.

Pregnancy: A good thing in and of itself, but if forced to do it against your will without compensation and at high risk, it’s slavery.

Hope this helps clear things up for you.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

goatini, if you would have simply read what i stated you would have realized I never said I was against abortion, you can do whatever you want to your body. It has no effect on my life therefore I could care less what you chose to do. If my wives life was in danger due to pregnancy I would recommend an abortion. When you stated I made Tebow a moral authority based on your views simply isn’t true. I merely stated the commercial is NOT offensive. Just answer how is him delivering a baby offensive? I’m not trying to go back and forth with you. I won’t respond to name calling winners like deficate and Fiona they argue and call names without reading the context of a post.

          • Jennifer Starr

Some conservatives have been going to pieces over a completely inoffensive Coke commercial using the song ‘America the Beautiful’. I would like to know how that’s offensive.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

I would love to help you out. Unfortunately I was not offended. So I don’t know why it upset anyone?

          • Jennifer Starr

Apparently ‘America the Beautiful’ being sung in different languages is enough to send some people into a tizzy and cause Pat Buchanan’s head to spin all the way around. Don’t actually know if Pat Buchanan’s head did spin, but it’s a nice thought anyway.

          • goatini

I already said what makes the Tebow ad offensive:

An advocate of gestational slavery, delivering a child, absolutely is offensive and oppressive to women.

          • fiona64

Here’s a clue for you, dummy: lots of pro-choice women have children. I’m one of them. My pregnancy almost killed me …. and I will not go through that again. Should my tubal ligation fail, there will be an abortion so fast that your stupid head will spin right off.

          • Jennifer Starr

I think you mean whine, and you’ve been doing a fair amount of that because you think your tender fee-fees have been hurt.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

my feelings aren’t hurt I promise you that I’m just here having a good time you guys made my day go by quickly and I want to thank you for that I appreciate it it’s easy to rile you guys up and I just find it really funny.

          • Jennifer Starr

What exactly has punctuation ever done to you?

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

Sorry I was driving and using speak to text. I do obey laws. now on this portion of my post I’m using the speak to text I just wanted let all you women know I applaud you getting abortions so that way your lineage is not carried on thank you very much.

          • Jennifer Starr

Actually never had an abortion–never been pregnant. And I wouldn’t necessarily have one if I was, but that’s my personal choice, just like I think that other women have the right to make theirs.

You were driving and using speak to text to comment on this forum because you supposedly wanted to defend Tim Tebow ? I may not be the most technological person, but that’s just a little obsessive, don’t you think?

          • fiona64

I’m sorry about your tiny man-parts, honey.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

I must bid all you single, overweight, cat loving women good day. I hope you enjoy your life of loneliness.

          • fiona64

No, you’re whining (note correct spelling) because we’ve called Tebow out for the grandstanding anti-choice dimwit that he is.

          • fiona64

Yep, that’s some real “pro-life” respect for women there.

          • HeilMary1

            He’s a looksist pedophile.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

At least goatini doesn’t call people bad names like you!

          • Defamate

            And you.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

            Defamte is into scat play!

          • goatini

You came here, a reproductive justice website, specifically and intentionally to bash people who don’t share your views.

You don’t “love women”. You want a doll and servant. You hate women who assert their civil, human and Constitutional rights.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

There you go again putting words in my mouth. How do you know I don’t love women? I may not love them the way you do with unnatural ways! I love the mother to my children more than anything. I respect her and her opinions. You on the other hand are just full of hate for people that don’t agree with you. You can’t control your emotions long enough to converse without name calling. No one takes you serious. You’re a JOKE.

          • Defamate

If you loved women you would not put them second to a microscopic cell.
Women are maimed and killed by pregnancy.
You would force women to remain pregnant against their will.

            That’s not love.

            it’s HATE.

          • goatini

YOU came here to initiate a vicious misogynistic attack on the civil, human and Constitutional rights of female US citizens to personal bodily autonomy and privacy in healthcare decisions. YOU are full of hate for people who don’t buy your vile BS. So STOP projecting your personal flaws and shortcomings upon the innocent women (and men who actually love women) who support this reproductive justice website.

          • fiona64

It’s so easy to be an anti-choice male, isn’t it? You just wave your big dumb paw and pronounce on what medical decisions women you’ve never even met, and whose circumstances you’ll never know, should be allowed to make. After all, it’s never going to be YOUR life or health endangered by a pregnancy (wanted or not), so no big deal, right? Feh.

          • fiona64

Oh, boohoo … someone doesn’t like facts. Call the WAAAHmbulance.

          • Defamate

            The right to privacy.
            The right to liberty.
            The right to freedom.
The right not to be enslaved

Yeah, all of those cover abortion, dumbass.

In fact, even the UN Declaration of Human Rights permits abortion:

            http://www.un.org/en/documents/udhr/

            Article 1.
All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and
rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

            Article 3.
Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.

            Article 4.
No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms.

            Article 5.
No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

            Article 6.
Everyone has the right to recognition everywhere as a person before the law.

            Article 7.
All are equal before the law and are entitled without any
discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to
equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this
Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination.

            Article 12.
No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his
privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks.

^Unless of course, if you’re a pregnant woman, then you should have NONE of these rights, is that what you’re saying?

          • egawrons

Ist of all we live in the U.S. and not in the U.N. Second of all it is an interpretation of privacy, liberty, freedom and not to be enslaved to claim they cover abortion. I can equally claim that the “right to life” in the consitution should also protect the unborn. Society determines the “interpretation” and as it has in the past – that interpretation will change in the future.

          • Defamate

The right to life applies to BORN PERSONS, not proto-plasm. Dumbass.

          • fiona64

Please show me the phrase “right to life” in the US Constitution. I’ll wait …

          • HeilMary1

Since fetuses maim and murder their hosts, all abortions fall under women’s right to self-defense.

          • Aquaria

More lies and stupidity from typically dishonest and genocidal christfilth.

          • Defamate

And btw, zygotes/embryos and feti have *never* been considered natural persons in all of US history. Only born people qualify as natural persons.

          • egawrons

In all US history and till today a person that murders a pregnant women can and still are also charged with the murder of the unborn baby. Seems the law does consider the unborn a “natural person”. So much for the “never”.

          • Defamate

No, actually, the law DOES consider the unborn to be legal persons in some cases, but not natural persons.

And the primary purpose of these laws is to chip away at RvW and punish women for miscarriages.

In South Catolina approximately 300 women have been sent to jail for miscarriages, and only ONE man has been punished for a crime against a fetus:

            http://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2011/07/misc-j06.html

          • goatini

“In all US history and till today a person that murders a pregnant women can and still are also charged with the murder of the unborn baby.”

            FALSE

Only recently (last 10-15 years) have regressive municipalities and regressive lawmakers shoved through misogynistic so-called “fetal homicide” laws. These vicious and unconstitutional “laws” relegate the ACTUAL crime victim – the WOMAN – to the status of nothing more than a container. These unconstitutional “laws” protect NO ONE, and are solely intended to chip away at the protections of the guarantees of the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment as regards the civil, human and Constitutional rights of female US citizens.

It is a FACT that appropriate charges, prosecution, sentencing, and penalties for the violent felony assault against the actual VICTIM can be levied and acted upon WITHOUT these misogynistic so-called “fetal homicide”. These unconstitutional “laws” consider the ACTUAL crime victim as a sub-human entity unworthy of due protection of law, and unworthy of appropriate penalties being levied upon the criminal. Scott Peterson can’t be executed twice.

          • Defamate

Blackmun did not need to do any “reinterpretation” whatsoever. The Constitution specifies that a Census of all persons must be conducted every 10 years. The Founding Fathers were right there in 1790 to let us know what they thought should be counted as a person, and what shouldn’t be counted as a person. In every Census ever taken, unborn humans have never been counted as persons! See for yourself http://www.census.gov/history/www/through_the_decades/index_of_questions/

So the USA had decades of Precedent, in considering unborn humans to be non-persons, even before the 14th Amendment in-essence made it official, that they don’t have the rights that are granted to born persons.

          • fiona64

Tsk, tsk, tsk. Another one who gets their medico-legal information from TV. Homicide is not murder (hint: manslaughter and suicide are also homicides). Futhermore, fetal homicide laws only attach as special circumstances *when a pregnant woman is harmed.* You know, the actual *person* you keep erasing from your discussions?

          • Guest

They are charged with it IF THE WOMAN WANTED THE CHILD, stupid, genocidal christfilth.

          • Aquaria

There is NOTHING in the Constitution about forcing women to breed, lying christfilth.

Most states have NO laws, and have NEVER had laws about forcing women to breed, stupid christfitlh.

You’re too fucking stupid from your genocidal fitlh delusion to know what the laws actually say.

          • goatini

Of course there is a civil, human and Constitutional right for female US citizens to exercise their rights to privacy and to choose to obtain legal medical services.

Institutionalized misogyny is coming to an end. Get used to it – nothing stays the same, and millennia of state- and Church-sponsored oppression and exploitation of females are ending.

          • fiona64

There is no civil, human or consitutional right for a female to have an abortion.

            Yeah, actually, there is.

          • HeilMary1

            It’s called self-defense.

          • HeilMary1

Fetuses don’t have the right to maim and murder their hosts just because holy pedophiles are lined to molest them after they’re born.

    • http://plumstchili.blogspot.com/ Plum Dumpling

      Tebow is so gay.

      • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

well I’m sure if he was you would know all about it from personal first hand experience.

    • fiona64

I don’t who made some big dumb jock a “moral authority,” either. So, I guess we’re even.

      • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

Apparently you don’t know how to read. I DONT CARE what you do when you get pregnant. You call people names in your posts so I will follow suit. You are a BITCH because you are single and lonely. I see why your x left you. He was intelligent and realized how your a bitter cat lady. I’m sure your weight gain made it an easier decision as well. You can have all the abortions you want it doesn’t effect my life at all, so again you argue just for the sake of arguement.

        • Jennifer Starr

So basically you’re just here because you have your panties in a twist over people picking on your beloved Tebow. Is that it?

        • fiona64

You’re funny, sweetie. I have a very happy marriage, a great family life … and a tubal ligation that, should it fail, will result in an abortion so fast that your dumbassed head will spin right off. My pregnancy almost killed me, and I will NOT go through that again to satisfy some internet cretin with a crush on Tim Tebow.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

Proof that god doesn’t want trolls like you to breed. I don’t have a crush on Tebow, actually I don’t like the Broncos or him. If people like you don’t like him, now I support him. Thanks for making it so easy. HPV is the reason you have pregnancy problems.

          • fiona64

You’re a funny little boy, sweetie. Now, why don’t you go color while the adults talk? (And yeah, you have a crush on Tebow; otherwise, you wouldn’t have your little Garanimal panties in such a twist over people criticizing him. Are you going to stomp your little feet and throw yourself down on the floor to hold your breath next?)

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

Exactly what im gonna do. If your supposedly married why don’t you take your wide load ass to a treadmill and try to make your husband happy. That way he doesn’t have to hold your rolls up with a winch to get to your disgusting blue waffle. That’s right Google blue waffle in refrence to your UN-hygienic vagina.

          • HitlerWasNeverPregnant

I disagree with fiona. You are not a funny little boy. You’re an idiot. A boring one.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

Well you’re a worthless waste of space. All 10 people on your ridridiculous site. I just enjoy provoking you bull headed retards who repeatedly post your same stupid points time and time again.

          • goatini

WHO is posting the same stupid points over and over again?

Answer: Another forced-birther who thinks that telling the same LIES over and over again magically make them “truth”.

Projection of their own faults and shortcomings on to the innocent opposition: It’s what forced-birthers do best.

And your hate speech insult to developmentally disabled people has been duly noted.

          • HitlerWasNeverPregnant

Oh yeah. you’re ‘provoking’ all right.

Do you stroke the ol’ giraffe thinkin’ of timmy?

          • HitlerWasNeverPregnant

Now you’re just being coy, you tease you.

          • Jennifer Starr

Someone’s being provoked, and it isn’t us. You’re becoming increasingly unraveled–it would be tragic if it wasn’t so ridiculous.

          • goatini

I can smell your smegma from here.

          • Jennifer Starr

Yeah, you don’t like the Broncos or him, and yet you went through the trouble of creating a disqus account for this discussion and you’ve even been discussing this with us while driving–but you’re not a fan? Please. At least UMovies was honest enough to admit to a fixation.

  • egawrons

The only thing offensive is how very intolerant you are about anyone that does not agree with your pro-abortion stance, how you claim to speak for all women, and how hateful you are. If you wish to get twenty abortions Tebow or anyone else is not stopping you. If Tebow or anyone esle thinks you would be wrong for doing so and want to speak against it – great that is their right. Instead of always being pro-death, try a least being pro-life about yourself and get that giant chip off your sholder.

    • Defamate

      oooo pro-death

      burn!

    • Jennifer Starr

Says the person with a giant chip on their shoulder.

Warning to anyone who posts comments on this site who disagrees with these anal women, they will insult you by name calling and putting words in your mouth. Don’t waste your time with this site or these worthless women ie Fiona, defecate,Jennifer, and goatini aka goat lover.

    • goatini

Liar, I did not call you names nor put words in your mouth. I spoke only facts and truth. Stop lying.

      • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

Maybe you need to go back through and read previous posts.

        • goatini

I know what I wrote, and I NEVER called you names, OR put words in your mouth. Stop lying.

          • HitlerWasNeverPregnant

            *wink*

        • goatini

      • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

Your just a sorry ass liar. I’ve quoted you in an earlier post with all of your stupid rhetoric.

        • HitlerWasNeverPregnant

There’s nothin wrong with lovin’ who you are.

        • goatini

Already identified the LIES in that post. You’re really a vicious misogynist liar. And THAT was not name-calling.

    • HitlerWasNeverPregnant

Stop it. You’re turning me on.

      • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

You better watch out! Women getting turned on leads to gestational slavery a.k.a. pregnancy. If that were to happen to you, these women here would hope you got an abortion. If you get turned on and have sex and got pregnant is that gestational slavery? Or just pregnancy?

        • HitlerWasNeverPregnant

If you get turned on and have sex and got pregnant is that gestational slavery? Or just pregnancy?

If the pregnancy is consented to, it isn’t slavery. If the pregnancy is not consented to, it’s slavery.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

Wow! I’m impressed! The first rational comment from someone on this site in the history of this site!

          • HitlerWasNeverPregnant

Many of the women on this site are mothers. They *consented* to those pregnancies, and thus, did not consider it to be gestational slavery. However, if they had found themselves in a position where they were FORCED to remain pregnant against their will…then it is slavery.

You really aren’t very bright, are you?

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

Wow. I don’t think you are very bright or you have poor reading comprehension. That’s what I’ve been saying in my previous posts. Mutually agreeable pregnancy is just that pregnancy. If women here want to have abortions I don’t care at all. That’s been my stance the whole time. I just said the commercial isn’t offensive, then cue name calling from all these delightful women on this site simply because I didn’t find the commercial repulsive and feel it set this nation back hundreds of years.

          • goatini

The commercial is repulsive. It actually should have had a trigger warning for all women who were forced, coerced, or otherwise had no choice in carrying an unwanted pregnancy to term. Tebow stands for gestational slavery, and theocratic misogyny.

          • goatini

Thanks for proving you’re a nitwit, because that’s what I said earlier that you twisted with your vile lies – that pregnancy is a good thing in and of itself, but that being forced to gestate to term against one’s specific will and wishes (which YOU advocate) IS gestational slavery.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

You are an ignorant bitch! Show me where I ever said im for a woman not having a choice? You can’t cause it didn’t happen. You just love to hear your repetitive ignorant statments over and over. Thanks for confirming the warnings I posted to everyone, you are proving them true. Thank you you disgusting wilda beast.

          • goatini

Flagged for repetitive ignorant hate speech against women.

    • Jennifer Starr

You really need to grow up, you’re only embarrassing yourself at this point. A sad, lonely git with a Tebow fixation.

  • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

Another warning: if you disagree with anyone’s view here you are misogynist, vile,closed-minded,ignorant, and an asshole as well. These women aren’t here for conversing. They repeatedly quote the same point 15-20 times and make words trying to vilify you because other people have different opinions. Examples include PREGNANCY= GESTATIONAL SLAVERY, someone who doesn’t support their views here delivering a CHILD= oppressive and offensive to women. This last statement is a quotation from goatini. If you insult these women they say you don’t love women….. Not true just don’t care for a few worthless bag of guts on this site. UPDATE: deficate has now changed her name to HITLER, so she hates Jews as well as men.

    • HitlerWasNeverPregnant

Well yeah, dude, forcing someone to labour and put their life and health at risk on behalf of another is kinda the definition of slavery, dontcha think?

      • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

Not every woman is FORCED into PREGNANCY don’t you think? I love how you very few think you are spokesmen for women everywhere. The statement you describe, forced pregnancy is a very small percentage of all pregnancies. So your term gestational slavery does not apply to you, unless you were raped. Judging by your poor atitudes I’m sure you are not attractive, therefore you weren’t raped.

        • HitlerWasNeverPregnant

Nope. Forcing someone to remain pregnant against their will = slavery.

For example. You can consent to sex. Once you revoke consent, and the person you are having sex with ignores your request, it becomes rape. Pretty simple. It is logically impossible for someone to ‘consent’ to slavery. If a woman does not want to be pregnant, she has not ‘consented’ to it by virtue of finding herself to be pregnant.

Judging by your poor atitudes I’m sure you are not attractive, therefore you weren’t raped.

Rape has absolutely nothing to do with beauty. And btw, I am completely out of your league.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

Your right, you are out of my league. I don’t go after women larger than myself, that look like NFL linemen. In your comment you say”once you revoke consent and the person you are having SEX WITH ignores your request it becomes rape? So your having SEX with someone and then tell them no after you already are having SEX is rape?

          • HitlerWasNeverPregnant

. I don’t go after women larger than myself, that look like NFL linemen.

No. You go after actual NFL linemen, you saucy minx you.

So your having SEX with someone and then tell them no after you already are having SEX is rape?

Yep. Say, for example, that your hero Tim Tebow is stuffing his engorged member down your throat. And you say “NO MORE, I WANT TO STOP” and Timbo keeps pounding away at your epiglottis…it becomes rape if he refuses to stop.

Somehow I am not surprised that you think that forced sex isn’t rape.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

No I just think you are stupid. Why would you willingly have sex with someone you don’t want to have sex with? That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. I think you have spent too many drunken nights with horny frat boys! Just because I reject your pathetic advances doesn’t mean I’m gay. Not all men like skanky cum dumpsters like yourself. Your beef curtains hang so low you could use them to glide from building to building like a flying skank.

          • HitlerWasNeverPregnant

Why would you willingly have sex with someone you don’t want to have sex with?

If you willingly have sex with someone…and then say ‘stop’ in the middle of it…and they don’t stop..it becomes rape.

What’s so hard to understand about that?

Just because I reject your pathetic advances doesn’t mean I’m gay. Not all men like skanky cum dumpsters like yourself. Your beef curtains hang so low you could use them to glide from building to building like a flying skank.

If you’re trying to turn me on, it’s working. You Casanova you!

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

            That’s just funny right there.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

I didn’t ask why would you willingly have sex with someone and say no, don’t stop! I ASKED why would you willingly have sex with someone you don’t want to have sex with in the first place? Unless alcohol is a daily factor in your life?

          • HitlerWasNeverPregnant

I ASKED why would you willingly have sex with someone you don’t want to have sex with in the first place?

It’s possible to want to have sex with the person of your choice and then change your mind midway through, you know? And if that person ignores your requests to stop, it’s rape! It turns from willing sex into forced sex!

If you were having sex with your girlfriend, and she suddenly wasn’t into it anymore, and asked you stop, and you continued going against her pleas for you to stop, you would be guilty of raping her!

            Can’t you see that?

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

Yes I can see that. I’m not here to argue that point. I personally never had sex with someone and midway through changed my mind. I’ve always assessed the woman prior to being inside her.

          • HeilMary1

Reported for hate speech against women.

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

Nope. Just against your fat, ugly narrow minded self. I personally don’t think you are a woman. Just because I don’t like you doesn’t mean I don’t like women. Most women are rational and not as ignorant as you and your friends on this site. I doubt you have friends in the real world.

          • goatini

Most women are rational and appreciate their civil, human and Constitutional rights to privacy and personal bodily autonomy as guaranteed by the protections of the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment.

I doubt you have friends, or a “wife”, for that matter, down in Mom’s basement.

          • goatini

            What are you, 5’0″?

          • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

No. Actually I’m 6’4″ and not a fatty like you! I’m in shape so I don’t go after gross hateful hogs.

          • goatini

            Suuuuure you are, little man.

          • Jennifer Starr

You’ve told us you’re a married man, so hopefully you’re not going after anybody

          • goatini

“So your having SEX with someone and then tell them no after you already are having SEX is rape?”

            YES. NO MEANS NO.

          • Jennifer Starr

And you’re just being an idiot at this point. I sincerely hope you’re still not spouting this rubbish while behind the wheel of a car.

    • goatini

      You LIE again.

Pregnancy is a good thing in and of itself – and I said that being forced to gestate to term against one’s will IS gestational slavery.

I said that what IS oppressive and offensive to women, is a corporation using Little Timmy Tebow, vicious and vile theocratic forced-birther, in a birth scene in an advertisement – because he stands for gestational slavery.

You keep repeating LIES over and over again, but repeating LIES over and over does NOT make them magically into facts and truth.

      STOP LYING.

      • disqus_x1WygK5fpW

You are the most ignorant woman ever! Tebow is pro-life and delivering a child. So offensive and repressive…hahaha. You are delusional. I wish your parents would’ve chose to vacuum you out. The world would be 1000 times better. Go jump off a cliff.

        • goatini

          Flagged for violent hate speech.

  • Steve Koshlap

I’m confused about the label this article and many of it’s responding minions used to describe TT: anti-choice. That sounds so negative, like anti – murder, or anti- infanticide, or anti- death! How about something more accurate, like pro -life or pro- child or pro- human?
I mean, to infer that the geographic location of a child, days, weeks or months before delivery determines his/her right to live, breath, and love is kind of ignorant, isn’t it?
I get that some carbon based life forms (sorry, but human really is a stretch here) want what they want and WILL have it, even at the cost of a real human’s life. But don’t they realize that this precious life has infinite value?
Hey, I know a good label for that nasty TT: anti-selfish!

    • Mirable

Pro-lifers (generally) tend to support policies that force women to give birth, and oppose all manner of social programs that actually save lives – such as the ACA, amongst other things.

They care about feti only – once they are born, fuck ‘em, those babies better pull themselves up by their bootstraps if they happen to be born with cancer – pro’lifers’ don’t want their precious tax dollars being spent on needy selfish babies!

    • Jennifer Starr

For starters, a uterus is a whole lot more than just a ‘geographic location’.

    • Jennifer Starr

And yes, Steve–anti-choice is the correct term.

      • Mirable

Since I started trolling 5×5 with idiotic hyperbole, it’s left me alone. It’s only looking to push buttons, and we fall into it’s trap by answering honestly. By pretending that I am the monster that it wants us to be, I defuse it’s attempts to kickstart the outrage train.

        • Jennifer Starr

          Good strategy :)

    • http://plumstchili.blogspot.com/ Plum Dumpling

I am pro life so naturally I am pro choice.

    • fiona64

Please let me know how the embryo displays love. I’ll wait.

(Really, the emotional hyperbole from this particular anti-choice male is just too ridiculous for words. He does, however, demonstrate beautifully how easy it is to dictate medical decisions about things that will never affect his life or health.)

    • http://plumstchili.blogspot.com/ Plum Dumpling

I am PRO LIFE so naturally it follow that I am PRO CHOICE.

  • Abigail

Really? You’re going to pick on Tim Tebow? Are you kidding me? Of course, never mind the personal money and time he gives to his charity. No let’s force another excuse to claim a war on women.
“Reproductive rights?” “Disrespect toward women?” This is what happens when you give a bored, unintelligent woman a limited vocabulary, talking points, and a computer……she uses the words planted by propagandists to further a political agenda, in the name of freedom and rights no less, to kill babies. Then they tell her there’s a war on women by “the other side” because they know she doesn’t have the moral integrity to actually think about what she’s advocating, let alone that the harbinger of “reproductive rights” – Planned Parenthood was begun to promote genocide, primarily of minorities. But everyone knows this by now and the only excuse for continuing the parade on it’s behalf is utter inhumanity. Yay, we’ve come so far we can kill babies, we can be whores (and have tax payers cover the birth control) – yes, such freedom. You’re being used dear one and in the worst possible way. But then, you have the “right” to be used by as many as you’d like but frankly, I’m embarrassed for you.

    • Mirable

You’re an ignoramus if you think that Tim Tebow’s God bothering isn’t anything other than marketing. And clearly, it didn’t help him. You’re also an idiot if you think that God cares more about winning football games than starving children.

Then they tell her there’s a war on women by “the other side” because
they know she doesn’t have the moral integrity to actually think about
what she’s advocating, let alone that the harbinger of “reproductive
rights” – Planned Parenthood was begun to promote genocide, primarily of
      minorities.

Ooooh, genocide, you’re cute. Tell us, should the 1 out of 3 women who have had abortions, and who will have abortions all have their own Nuremberg jails and be hung by the neck until dead for the crime of GENOCIDE? Well sweetie?

      • Abigail

I was put off by the article for many reasons not the least of which was that the author followed in tow with unnecessary media bashing of someone who’s not only never hurt anyone, (let alone a baby) but does a lot of good for others and seems to have a tremendous respect for women.(based on previous girlfriends comments). But I’m glad to know it’s all just a marketing ploy. As for your reply, by all means, be as obnoxious as you can towards anyone who would dare take away your “right” to kill a baby. After all, it is your right.
But I’m curious about your comment, “genocide, you’re cute.” I actually wasn’t trying to be cute and I wonder if you know anything about Margaret Sanger. Perhaps I should have used the word infanticide. It’s actually more commonly associated with her.
As for crimes…well, if our conscience doesn’t convict us at some point when we commit heinous acts (as it should and many women have experienced) then at some point we certainly all have to answer for our actions. Here or hereafter. Call it karma or what you will but there’s nothing natural about killing a baby and certainly everything very unnatural about being rabid in excusing and justifying it then demonizing anyone trying to protect babies.

        • Mirable

So contraception = genocide? Interesting. So you are saying that PP is trying to genocide everyone by forcing all women to use birth control? Again, interesting.

And no. If you truly believe that birth control and abortion are genocide, then ‘ karma’ is not the answer. Hitler committed genocide. Should he have had only bad karma? That is your reasoning…

          • Abigail

Not at all what I said or even implied. Good luck.

          • Mirable

            Abigail wrote:

Yeah…right. And I’ve got a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.

Perhaps I should have used the word infanticide. It’s actually more commonly associated with her.

Really? She was anti-abortion you know. She only promoted contraception. So, are you trying to tell me that birth control = infanticide? And that her evil plan was to get the mentally inferior (your implication) blacks to kill themselves off through the use of birth control?

What planet are you living on, may I ask?

          • Abigail

You make up your own conversation so I will leave you with one of many quotes from your hero. Again, good luck.

“The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.” Margaret Sanger, Women and the New Race (Eugenics Publ. Co., 1920, 1923)

          • Mirable

Those are your own words dumbass. Nothing has been invented – except your Sanger quote – which is taken out of context – she was talking about how infants in families of 10 or more usually died from sickness and malnutrition because the family had more kids than that could afford to feed.

And considering that you can’t even stick around to defend your lies tells me that you know that you are full of it.

You take that sentence out of its context and pretend it means what it does not mean. I have read the actual paragraph and work it appears in.

And they are the same old hoary lies post after post. GET A FRICKING ARGUMENT, you FRUITBAT.

        • Jennifer Starr

You realize that most women have used birth control at some point. That includes married women, conservative women, evangelical women and yes, Catholic women. People that you’re calling wh@res.

          Abortion is a human right.
