“The new rules will require STD testing every 14 days, rather than every
28 days. Though this may help detect certain STDs sooner, the rule may
not have had an impact on the current HIV outbreak, as it can take up to eight weeks post-infection for HIV to be detectable.”

That may be true for the standard HIV tests used by the public….but the porn testing regimen used by the Free Speech Coalition’s PASS utilizes the Aptima RNA test, which reduces the latency period for detecting HIV in acute infections to 8 -20 days. With 14-day testing, that comes the closest to real time testing there is…especially when utilized in coordination with other forms of testing.
