No wonder this country is so far behind others like Canada, and many other European countries when it comes to sex, and such. Good Lord. I mean, good grief. If I had a teenager who had listened to this lady’s speech and was all upset and such, I would be as mad as a hornet. I would go down to the principal’s office and complain so much they would never hear the end of it.

Here, here. Whole-heartedly agree. Canada and Europe have lower abortion rates as well. Coincidence? Methinks not.

If my kid’s school here in Canada had any nut like her as a speaker, spreading untruths and myths–even if an extracurricular club presented her–I would not be the only parent or community group. Reproductive healthcare is affordable and available, though, because of universal healthcare, so that adds to education to lower the rates of teen pregnancy, STD’s and abortions.

So she hopes to meet her birth mother one day…
If I were her birth mother, I’d be ashamed that I gave her life, personally, and after what must have been a such an emotionally traumatic pregnancy!

Again, have you heard this woman speak??? What a sick comment you posted! This woman tells the truth that our youth need to hear.

      • HeilMary1

And what about disfigured-by-an-anti-choice-terrorist-abstinence-only-mom spinster like me who will NEVER get a marriage proposal? Am I supposed to die a virgin no matter how many decades I live? What rubbish and abuse you heap on us victims of your sex-for-procreation-only terrorism!

The truth? Yeah, truth would be nice, but her presentation is full of lies. Apparently, you, like her, have no problem with duplicity as long as it gets the results you seek. As a parent, I would be incredibly angry to discover any of my daughters had been exposed to such a hateful, mendacious diatribe.

So much agreement, Sarah. This disgusting excuse for a human being is truly a chip off the old paternal, rapist block.

  • jaygoji

This is clearly and obviously a “faith-based” program, with no place in public school system. Spreading ignorance and fear based on superstition and having it paid for by the taxpayer is against the establishment clause. Lawsuit time.

When she is in public schools she doesn’t bring religion in! Don’t say stuff like this until you have actually heard her speak. No lawsuit can be brought up against her!

“God created sex, He is not the cosmic kill-joy.”

“He did create sex with boundaries, to protect us and our future marriage.”

These are direct quotes, so, yes, she is bringing religion into it. We’re not a christian household, so my kids’ education about sex has nothing to do with god. It has everything to do with accurate information and fostering a healthy sense of self — and no scare mongering. Fear is the lazy way of getting what you want. My experience is that unemotional, unsentimental presentation of truth is actually the best way to convey, ah, TRUTH.

She uses pure facts, I hope it scares the crap out of the youth today. Keep having sex and you will more than likely get a disease. Keep going strong Pam!

I had dozens of lovers in my teens and early 20s. Not one STD. I practiced safe sex with flings and made sure to get tested for STDs in between partners so that if I did contract an STD it would get treated right away and there would have only been 1 possible person I could have gotten it from.

I was horny, not interested in getting married, just wanted to have a good time, so I did just that.

I’m now 43 and have been in a monogamous relationship with my husband for just under 11 years. Yes, he knows of my promiscuous past, because I’m not ashamed of it and would not be with a man who was so insecure as to freak out that I have a sexual past. I did not expect him to be a virgin, so why should he expect it of me?

      • http://www.facebook.com/ella.warnock.7 Ella Warnock

Oh, come on, Ruth! Didn’t you PAY?!!!eleventy!!??!!

        Lol, sorry, couldn’t resist.

      • HeilMary1

I’m jealous! I’d trade my miserable disfigured scorned life for your popularity any day!

    • http://www.facebook.com/ella.warnock.7 Ella Warnock

“If you take birth control, your mother probably hates you.”

“I could look at any one of you in the eyes right now and tell if you’re going to be promiscuous.”

      Pure facts, huh? Allrighty then.

      • HeilMary1

My mom’s opposition to birth control and her burning my skin off as her abstinence excuse proved that she hated me AND DAD! I’d love to debate Stenzel in front of those students and clean her clock!

    • http://twitter.com/JenGStarr Jennifer Starr

No, pure facts was the very good comprehensive sex education that I received in the ’80s when I was in school. Not this right wing fear-based crap that teaches kids that their entire value as a person is concentrated in whether or not they keep their virginity.

    • http://twitter.com/JenGStarr Jennifer Starr

And furthermore, do you know that comprehensive sex-education, hearing acual facts instead of the BS that was floating around church youth groups at the time

    • http://www.facebook.com/amanda.kazarian Amanda Kazarian

They are called condoms. They work. I know this because I have used them with all of my boyfriends and even my husband. Crazy right??

    • http://www.facebook.com/Feral.9.Hex Carla Clark

Why would you want your children to be shamed into virginity, rather than come by it honestly? Letting you know, now, that even by Pam Stenzel’s ABSURD standards, I hold the V-Card. Came by it honestly, NOT through fear. Whoops.

  • http://www.facebook.com/amanda.kazarian Amanda Kazarian

Ugh I had to watch of video of this lady when I was in Catholic school. Jokes on her, as me and my husband had premarital sex and are STD and unwanted baby free. We will continue to enjoy our childless marriage. In fact, people like her only affirm my decision not to have children, I wouldn’t want another human being exposed to her bullshit if I can help it.

  • Ingrid Heimark

Teens will have sex, that’s how it is. They need correct information about contraceptive availability, and in my opionion also free contraception. In Norway free contraception to teens have reduced pregnancy and abortion rates by up to 50%

I thought, or hoped, this type of person had disappeared when Dubya left office. He was their biggest official friend.
