What Better Item For An Anti-Choice Fundraiser Than A Three-Year-Old’s “Prostitute” Costume?

VIDEO: 3-Year-Old’s Prostitute Costume on “Toddlers & Tiaras”

On TLC’s “Toddlers and Tiaras” child pageant TV show, a toddler is dressed up as Julia Roberts’ character – a prostitute-to-socialite Cinderella-type character –  from the movie Pretty Woman. The toddler, Paisley, wears two outfits in this act, one a “hooker” outfit (shown in the video here) and another a more tasteful dress created in the image of one that Julia Roberts dons later in the Pretty Woman film. Of these two, Paisley’s mother (Wendy Dickey) announced that the “hooker” outfit would be given to an anti-choice fundraiser.

We’ve seen anti-choicers exploit young girls, fighting against their ability to obtain an abortion in cases of rape or incest, or even telling them to “make lemonade” when it comes to forced, unwanted pregnancies.

So somehow, this fundraiser almost makes sense in a sick sort of way.  A mother from the show “Toddlers and Tiaras” has decided to donate her three-year-old daughter’s controversial “hooker” costume to Georgia Right for Life.

Via The Hollywood Gossip:

It’s safe to say that Wendy Dickey doesn’t shy away from controversy, or the spotlight.

The mother of a three-year old named Paisley, who made shock waves across the Internet this week for donning a Pretty Woman-inspired prostitute outfit during a promo for Toddlers & Tiaras, says she will donate the scandalous get-up in question…

… to Georgia Right to Life, an anti-abortion organization Dickey refers to as “Paisley’s charity.” The group states its mission as “protecting innocent life from fertilization until natural death.”

And thank you, Ms. Dickey, for giving me yet another reason on top of the myriad of other reasons I already had not to watch that show.

That is just wrong in so many ways…

Why in gods name would any mother dress her child that way and think it’s even close to appropriate?

    to believe it.

What happens on this show–a window into these “little girl pageants” not only contributes to the sexualization of little girls, but is tantamount to child abuse. There are literal babies in these pageants being made up, with large hair pieces being painfully attached with pins to the heads of babies with wisps of hair; one recent show features a child so tired from being made to practice, dress up, perform, travel, that she literally falls asleep standing up while the parents and the “coach” are making her up (mascara, eye shadow, etc).  Their response?  They run out to get her an energy drink and stick it in her bottle and feed it to her so they can stick her on stage.  A caffeinated energy drink of the kind I would not even allow my 12-year old to have.

The prostitute costume (Pretty Woman “celebrity competition for this kid) is only scratching the surface.  It is truly amazing what these parents–and I have to say the majority of it is the mothers–are willing to put their kids through for god knows what outcome… some dime-store trophy.

I don’t “advocate” the show, but watching it is only one window onto how sick this culture really has become.  We sexualize infants and then tell grown women they are not in charge of their reproductive and sexual lives.

I don’t even know what to say.

It is entirely appropriate to the venue, which awards prizes to females based on, excuse me but there’s no other word, their fuckability.

Personally I think the entire industry should be shut down as a facet of kiddie-porn.  There is zero benefit in it for the children, it exacerbates whatever mental illness is motivating their mothers, and it bankrupts their families.

    Excellent analysis!!!!

I agree this IS child abuse. I fear for the future mental health of these girls.

Perhaps Wendy is hoping to win the “generous patronage” of fat cat pedophile Catholic bishops!  No organization out pimps the Vatican in child sex trafficking.  But if Paisley’s looks, health and life were endangered by a pregnancy from such “patronage”, Wendy would sneak her into Planned Parenthood with the bishop’s blessing faster than a hoodwink!

Perhaps Wendy was inspired to pimp Paisley by her favorite “charity”:

“Georgia Right to Life is also well known for its pro life organization intended for instilling, mentoring, and fostering a respect for human life in young girls, Miss Right to Life of Georgia Scholarship & Benefit Pageant.”

so much spray tan and makeup that she no longer looks human, just some barbie doll clone.  It really is frightening just how far some of the ‘mothers’ will go just to feed their own long lost fantasies.

In a twisted way it almost makes sense that she would donate to a bunch of Pro Fetus loudmouths.  They wish to control women’s lives just like she is controlling that little girl’s.

How will this little girl feel when she watches Pretty Women as a teen or an adult and realizes exactly what her mother did to her???

  • seabisquick39

I can’t imagine dresing my three year old daughter up in high heel boots and a mini skirt.  Like Divine said, how can Wendy justify that she dressed her daughter up as a hooker when Paisley watches Pretty Woman one day.

I hope that Paige is able to realize when she grows up that her beauty is not decided by judges. These poor girls are taught so young that they need to show off their body and cover their face with make up to be beautiful.
