Alabama’s 20 week abortion ban went into effect on August 31st, making it the 5th state in the nation to ban pre-viability abortions, and anti-choice activists show that the the terms “legal” and “constitutional” don’t always mean the same thing.
Via the Washington Times:
Alabama on Thursday officially became the fifth state in the nation to restrict abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, the latest in a wave of new state efforts to curb the practice this year.
The ban is technically legal simply because hasn’t been challenged in court so far. Idaho may be the first to change that.
