Join Us: The Official Launch of Joanne Bamberger’s “Mothers of Intention”

Join us at Netroots Nation 2011 in Minneapolis, MN, for the official launch of Joanne Bamberger’s new book, Mothers of Intention: How Women and Social Media are Revolutionizing Politics in America (Bright Sky Press). A collection of essays from “engaged, articulate and passionate mothers who write about the way politics, causes and activism intersect with their lives as mothers,” the book will be available to purchase at the event, or bring your own copy and have Joanne sign it there.

Appetizers and wine will be available, as well as a cashbar for additional drinks.  Come tip a glass with Joanne and many of the women authors featured in the book, and celebrate the fact that politics and motherhood no longer have to be exclusive.

This event is co-sponsored by Care2.org, RH RealityCheck, EMILY’s List, Women’s Campaign Forum, Planned Parenthood of Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota, and Minnesota National Organization For Women.

Where: News Room, 990 Nicollet Avenue, Downtown Minneapolis.

Thank you so much for being a sponsor for my book launch!  In addition to the essays included, Mothers of Intention is the first book to examine the rise of mother’s involved in politics as a result of social media, for which I conducted extensive research!  So readers will gets lots of essays, but some researched perspective on how mothers come to politics, how they raise political children and how social media has turbo-charged their ability to speak out and be involved!  :)
