I don’t know if Rep. Moore’s footage is being replayed in mainstream media, but it really needs to be.   Thank you, Rep. Moore!

Hell yes! Go Rep. Gwen Moore!

  • rebellious-grrl

Bravo!  Rep. Moore brought a dose of reality to a bunch of over-privlegded conservatives who know nothing about poverty or how difficult life can be if you are poor.

(Just an aside. Is the bald guy in the front (behind Rep. Moore) taking a nap in the beginning of the video?)

I would love to know what the side talk was that interrupted this.

and as an aside PLEASE watch Bill Maher tonight!    I’d never heard of Tavis Smiley until tonight (need to watch more PBS!)  but I’m a new fan!

This is EXACTLY my problem with the anti-choice/anti-social services crowd. They are not “pro-life,” they are “anti-poor people.”

Their proposed policies are heartless. They are cruel. And we have a daily responsiblity to call them out on it.

I love Tavis Smiley. He and Cornell West (who is  equally beautiful) have just started a radio show.

I just heard that the Republican  ‘pro-life’ House cut all funding for nutritional aid for low income pregnant women.Clearly they don’t care about fetuses either.

In Madison Wisconsin, where 40,000 workers and students are protesting the (spit) Republican plan to lower the wages of state workers while simultaneously stripping them of their access to healthcare and lcollective bargaining rights, the ‘Tea Party’ is bussing in (Brownshirts)activists (to create violence and intimidate the protesters) as ‘counter demonstrators’.

I would like to know who is funding the ‘tea party’. Just from reading the right wing morons who post here and on other liberal blogs it’s pretty clear that they have an active online presence. It’s like a jobs program for stupid bullies. I agree that we have a daily responsibility to call the fuckers out  but I think it’s important to realise that they are not seeking dialogue or ‘common ground’. They seek our subjugation .

Wow. This is what you get when you invest in prochoice democratic women for office like donating to EMILY’s list.

Thank you Rep Moore to speaking the truth and taking power and being in office!
